Job Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer
Job Description:
As a QA/QC Engineer in Abu Dhabi, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and compliance of construction projects in accordance with established standards, regulations, and client requirements. You will be responsible for implementing and managing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Your role will involve both office-based tasks and field work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control Management:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Perform material testing and analysis as required.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Assist in developing quality assurance plans and quality control procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise on quality matters.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of quality control activities.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and quality records.
- Generate quality-related reports for management and clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all quality control activities.
- Assist in the preparation of project progress reports.
4. Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Communicate with clients to address their quality concerns and provide necessary support.
- Coordinate with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and third-party inspectors for quality inspections and certifications.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in QA/QC roles in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of relevant quality standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
